Located in the south of Longshan County, with an average altitude of over 1,200 meters, Bamian Mountain’s average temperature is just over 20 degrees Celsius in summer. There are many spectacular scenic spots at the mountain, which Shen Congwen called “another fairyland”.
In recent years, Longshan County has comprehensively upgraded Bamian Mountain Scenic Area through building ecological racecourses, new tent camps, Sheep Stable Bar and Cliff Hotel, and constantly enriched the tourist industry.
As an excellent summer resort for tourists to relax, go camping and go gliding, Bamian Mountain received over 500,000 tourists in 2022.
Longshan County has designed four boutique tourist routes with the mode of “immersed tour and experience”, which feature the tour of Liye, the exploration of the Tujia ethnic group, the Red culture and the splendid landscape. The six main scenic areas, including Bamian Mountain, Liye Ancient Town and Wulong Mountain Grand Canyon, have all gained in popularity.
